JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF听叠滨尝滨狈骋鲍础尝听READINGS BY CONTEMPORARY FRENCH WRITERS VINCENT BROQUA, VIRGINIE POITRASSON, AND MICHELLE NOTEBOOM

Vincent Broqua听is a writer and translator. He works with text, video and narrative for a politics听of gaiety. He writes in French and English.听He teaches in the MA in Literary Creation at University Paris 8, where he is a professor of North American arts and literature. With Abigail Lang and Olivier Brossard, he co-curates the听听and the听.听

His latest book is听Gaiamen听(Al Dante / Presses du r茅el, 2025).His book听Photocall, projet d'attendrissement听was awarded the 2021 Prize for gay novel/poetry in France.听Recovery, translated by Cole Swensen, was published by Pamenar Press.听Other books include:听La langue du gar莽on听(2023),听Et l脿 je me mets en danseuse听(with Anne Portugal, 2025),听Au telephone avec Jacques听(2025).

He is a translator of many poets & writers, such as Caroline Bergvall, Jim Dine, Thalia Field, Kevin Killian, Monica de la Torre, Karen Sandhu, Layli Long Soldier, Tracie Morris, Redell Olsen, and Anne Waldman.

Virginie Poitrasson听is the author of seven collections of poetry. Her translations into French include works by Lyn听Hejinian, Michael Palmer, Ben Lerner, Cole Swensen and Mei-mei Berssenbrugge. Together with composer and flautist听Joce听Mienniel, she co-created the musical show Chambre(s) 脿 脡cho(s), which was awarded a grant by SACD/Beaumarchais.听She holds an MA in French Literature from Universit茅 Lyon 2. She currently lives and works in Paris.


Michelle Noteboom听grew up in Michigan and holds an MA from Universit茅 de Paris III 鈥 la Sorbonne Nouvelle. She is听the author of Landskips (Estepa Editions, 2021), Roadkill (Corrupt Press, 2013), The Chia Letters (Dusie Kollektiv 2009),听Edging (Cracked Slab Books, 2006), and Hors-cage (trans. Fr茅d茅ric Forte, Editions de l鈥檃ttente, 2010). She鈥檚 lived in Paris听since 1991. She co-founded the bilingual Ivy Writers Series with Jennifer K. Dick and works as a freelance translator.
